Organizational Development & Strategic Innovation

Innovatus engages clients at the intersection of strategy and innovation, focusing on strategically aligning policy, practice, and the well-being of people, developing systems, structures, and accountability to achieve desired outcomes and results.

In 2024 Leann Johnson of Innovatus was accepted into the highly sought after Executive Programme for Strategy and Innovation at the University of Oxford, Said Business School in the UK. Since then Leann has had the opportunity to leverage nearly 30 years of executive managerial experience, predominantly in the US public sector to contribute to and learn from an international cohort of professionals exploring the intersection of strategy and innovation on a national and global scale.

With the recent onset of deglobalization, the rules of engagement have shifted, requiring professionals who understand the opportunity at this juncture, navigating the potential pitfalls which are many. The focus of Innovatus in the realm of strategic innovation for the private sector relates to what are referred to as non-market strategies, namely cultural, social, and political influences that are sometimes overlooked as relevant, yet impact the economic market nonetheless. To ignore non-market strategies in today’s highly volatile environment is to do so at one’s peril.

In non-profit, public, and community based sectors, what business would dub non-market strategies are often core to these sectors. Innovatus with expertise in bureaucratic processes and procedures, the application of culturally responsive practice, and the well-being of people, is positioned to scale across the organizational spectrum from private to public, to non-profit and community sectors, using and modifying tools and frameworks to suit the organizational development needs of every client from planning to implementation, ensuring appropriate engagement within and outside of the organization.
